Fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and one of only two Schools of Social Work in New Jersey fulfilling the LCADC academic requirement, Monmouth’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program is ranked among the best social work graduate programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Within the 54-credit, two-year program – or 30-credit advanced standing option for applicants with a BSW candidates can choose from one of two specializations: Clinical Practice with Families and Children or Global and Community Practice. Graduate certificates in Play and Expressive Therapies or Clinical Social Work are also available.

Choose from school social work, mental health, child abuse prevention, and more practice settings.

Develop evidence-based assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills for local and national social work.

The Global and Community Practice specialization year is fully online.

Participate in community development with members of economically under-resourced communities.

Work alongside faculty who are engaged globally through involvement with the International Federation of Social Workers at the United Nations and the International Red Cross.
